Batman: Arkham City GOTY App Reviews

This game is definately worth buying from the app store as game play is amazing and the storyline retains your intrest throughout. The game itself however requires a controler for a worthwhile experience and in order to retain saved games and avoid game launching problems, you must sign in to game center BEFORE starting the game. I thouroughly enjoyed the game and played almost all of the way through it before the game deleted my saves as a result of not being logged in to game center so I am writing a review to help others avoid this problem. Although I lost all of my saves, had that not happened, this game would be my all-time favorite game on any platform. I am excited for the release of the next batman game and with a deep breath I am going to resart the game on a harder level and give it a five star rating anyway.

i both this game and i can not open it…can somebody tell me what to do??

i was so happy i got it and i waited so long for it to download and so i started it i was so happy and after 20 min the BATMAN ARKHAM CITY thing was on my computer i kept my computer on and an hour later it was still there. I talked to my friend and he seid it had to do with the graphics card so if you what this game look at your gaphics card!!!

I was playing through the game and trying my best to get every collectable, and do side missions, but the game would crash often, which was annoying, but I didn’t mind because it has all the DLC and it only takes a second to restart the game after its frequent crashes. However the game crashed again recently, and upon restarting it, all of my save data was lost. I’m seeing this issue with other people that have the game on the Apple Store and I really wish that it will be fixed after all this time.

they should repair this keybord error. cant change keyboard.

When I bought the game, it had options for high resolution (2800 x 1800 or something close to this). Now the highest is 1440 x 900 and the graphics look terrible. WTH?

It’s good, but it’s tough to get a handle on the controls using the tracking pad and keyboard only. I’m gaming on a MBP. You would hope that the GOTY would support laptop game play sans mouse. Sadly, it doesn’t.

I downloaded and installed. But as soon as I start it. It doesnt give me an option to play. The photo of batman just pops up..

I downloaded this because it was 4.99$ (75%) off which seemed too good not to download. I’m running it on a 5k iMac 27 inch mid 2015 with 3.5 GHZ and it runs well. The graphics look sharp and although I havent been able to play much, from what I have seen so far its a great purchase especially given the price right now. However I have seen youtube videos of the game running on lower end devices with less power and they dont look all too great but if you have something a bit more speced up, I suggest you download while the current price remains.

Just bought this game for the reduced price. It crashes upon loading everytime? Have never had a problem playing games on my mac from the app store before. Might have somthing to do with the El Capitan update? Hopefully they fix this soon?

Really hoping they fix it soon. Great game, but hasn’t seen in update in two years and now it simply doesn’t work on the new OS.

I only bought this game because the descrption said it supports gamepads. But mine doesn’t work. This is complete bull. I would have never bought this game if I had to rely on keyboard/mouse controls.You could at least list which controllers are supported in the description, instead of just saying “support for gamepads”.

I have been unabe to get this to load. Everytime I attemp to load it I get a Crash Error, then the options for Running it, controllers etc, then once I attempt to run it I get a crash report again. Its quite frustrating. Late 2013 21.5 iMac 16gb RAM Core i7 3.1ghz Quad GeForce GT 750m 1024mb

Purchased this app and have yet to be able to play it. It will not open. Crashes EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!

I purchased this game previously (from another vendor), played it flawlessly and enjoyed the hell out of it…but updates weren’t available. That’s when the version log note “Updated to support NVIDIA 780M in newer iMacs” caught my eye in the App Store. Paid my $20 (again, I might add), downloaded the game, and it’s a crash salad. Shows the opening splash, then craps out. Not acceptible, Feral. Not acceptible at all.

Loads the splash screen then crashes evertime. I want my money back.

I’m updating my review to reflect that the problem with the game crashing is Apple’s fault with how El Capitan handles Game Center accounts in some of these games. The only way to launch this game without it crashing is to STAY SIGNED OUT OF GAME CENTER!! C’mon Apple I’ve sent multiple crash reports and running OS X 10.11.2 (an update released this week). Feral has been very supportive when I’ve communicated with them & even given me PS4 controller support as well as Steam support. If you’re running El Capitan & want to play this game, DO NOT sign into Game Center until Apple fixes that on their end. Thank you for the support Feral Interactive!

I think I completed 1% of the game, and now it won’t even open. I get no error message at all.

this app crashes on load for the osx and can no longer be played. was great. the best game for mac. wanted shadow of mordor but not from this company. FIX !!!!!!
